Good Morning Coaches,
Since only a few have posted updates lately I would like to post another update for Week 6! The West Johnston Lady Wildcats have won 6 matches in a row heading into Week 7 and sit at (10-5) overall and (8-4) in the very tough Quad County Conference. We are currently tied with South Johnston for 3rd place in the conference behind the #1 3A team in the state Wilson Fike (16-1) and the #6 team in the east Wilson Hunt (13-1)! I am very proud of the improvement the team has made and after losing 3 of the top 6 from an (8-7) team last season we are right where I hoped we would be.

Happy Friday everyone. I hope everyone has been able to get their makeup matches completed and are having a good year.
The Lady Bulldogs currently sit at 8-0 on the season and have only lost one court. This week the team went on 3 road trips and came away victorious in all 3 matches. On yesterday, the team was at full strength for the first time all season and played phenomenal tennis only dropping one game in singles and 3 games in doubles.
The team looks to be strong contenders this year and will have a nice matchup with Williams on Sep 28th to end the regular season.

Good Morning Everyone!
We started the week with a 7-2 home win over the CB Aycock Lady Golden Falcons, who are definitely improving each week and have a solid foreign exchange student who has just enrolled at the school.
We then hosted undefeated Wilson Hunt, who I have to say has a really solid team top to bottom! We won #3 doubles and had two or three close matches that I felt we could have pulled out. But the score ended 8-1 in favor of the Lady Warriors in a match much closer than score shows. In another 100+ degree day it was the Hunt ladies that took control early and played solid error free tennis to pull away on what could have been a 6-3 or 5-4 match!

Greene Central High School is located in Snow Hill, with a population of only 1,595 people in a small rural county. Only one high school, and barely more stoplights. But the tennis tradition is rich, with 2 state championships, 11 trips to the finals, regular Top 5 finishes, and an on-going streak of conference championships that could reach 30 years by season's end.
This year's squad is young - graduating a couple of proven winners and fielding a team void of any seniors. Coach Tim Medlin offered no grace period, crafting one of the tougher opening schedules seen in the State, including four 4A classification schools with solid tennis pedigrees and a 3A #9 ranked Croatan.

Good Saturday Afternoon Coaches,
This is the Week 2 update on the Lady Wildcats. I am sure it would help the voters for each coach to post a weekly or periodic update as the season progresses. You can look at the scores and records in MaxPreps all you want, but that does not always tell the whole story:
