NCHSAA Approves Change to Postseason Schedule
- Details

At its March 2024 meeting, the NCHSTCA Board of Directors approved a recommendation to amend the postseason schedule to provide greater flexibility in the event of inclement weather.
At its Spring meeting, held on April 30 and May 1, the NCHSAA approved the NCHSTCA recommendation, effective with the fall 2024 season.
The new policy calls for bracketing of the dual-team playoffs to take place on Friday of the last regular season week (Week 9), and for two rounds of dual-team play to take place during the first postseason week (Week 10). This will create space at the end of the postseason calendar which can be used in the event that rain postpones either dual-team or individual regional or state championship play.
